Collaboration software is helping companies manage their way through difficult economic times
We don't typically report on company financial news here, but I thought this SharePoint news was interesting and worth sharing. In a time of cutbacks, layoffs, and poor sales numbers, Colligo Networks posted a 204 percent annual increase in sales of Microsoft SharePoint products. It's great to see companies doing well in this down economy. Apparently, businesses are recognizing that in order to keep a competitive edge, they need to be able to share information and collaborate with partners, customers, and vendors. SharePoint is the fastest-growing Microsoft product of all time, and vendors offering products that enhance SharePoint or make it easier to use are reaping the benefits.
In a recent press release, Colligo President and CEO Barry Jinks said, “Industry analysts have identified SharePoint as a key technology to help companies manage their way through these difficult economic times. Our Colligo for SharePoint products give customers an easy way to increase the deployment of SharePoint across the enterprise and help them get more out of their SharePoint investment."
Colligo's Contributor Pro software, which won Windows IT Pro Magazine's 2008 Editor’s Best Award http://windowsitpro.com/article/articleid/99542/windows-it-pro-editors-best-awards.html in the SharePoint category, lets workers, both onsite and remote, access, modify, create, SharePoint content through familiar desktop interfaces, both online and offline, and gives mobile and remote workers access to information where and when they need it.
