Q. How can I download a version of Microsoft Security Essentials for an architecture or OS other than that of my local desktop?

A. If you visit the Security Essentials site, you'll see a Download Now button. Depending on your browser, clicking this link will likely detect your local OS and architecture and give a matching download. If you want to download Security Essentials for a different version or architecture of Windows, click the "Locales and languages" link under the Download Now button, which opens up the ability to download other versions, as shown here.

In some browsers, you'll see these options when you click the Download Now button.
