A TechNet Wiki, containing links and resources to troubleshoot some of the Windows Hyper-V Replica failure scenarios that you might encounter, is now available.
If you’ve ever run into an issue enabling or working with replication in Windows Server Hyper-V, take heart! The Microsoft TechNet Hyper-V Replica Troubleshooting Guide is now available.
The guide takes the form of a Wiki, containing links and resources to troubleshoot some of the Hyper-V Replica failure scenarios that you might encounter. As a Wiki, community involvement is welcome. For now, the site follows this schema:
- Error messages/Event Viewer details. Which error messages are you likely to see in the UI, Windows PowerShell, or Windows Management Instrumentation? Which Event Viewer messages are logged in various circumstances? Look here to find out—or to add your own.
- Possible causes. This is the section to review for a list of possible scenarios that might lead to a failure.
- Resolution. Find out or tell us which actions to take to resolve a failure.
- Additional resources. Look here for a list of blogs, Knowledge Base articles, and other documentation that can give you more information about failure and resolutions.
