Microsoft has created the Safe Internet: Microsoft Privacy & Security Fundamentals Web site (http://www.microsoft.com/privacy/safeinternet) to educate people about ways to make their always-on connections less open to intrusion. "The Internet need not be a scary place," said Richard Purcell, Microsoft's director of corporate privacy. "By taking the right precautions, people can feel much more confident in the online safety of their kids and their personal information."
