If Santa didn't bring you a PDA, don't despair—your company might buy you one. A recent report from the Aberdeen Group says that PDA purchases have shifted from individual professionals to the enterprise. As companies recognize the benefits of handheld devices and develop the frameworks to manage them, sales should soar. In fact, Aberdeen projects PDAs will enjoy a compound annual growth rate of almost 24 percent from 2000 to 2005, as total revenue climbs from $2.3 billion to $6.6 billion (see Graph 2).
