Today marks the end of an era. As someone who was on the original team that delivered the strategy and documentation for Patch Tuesday it’s sort of a sad day. The updates delivering today are the last we’ll see where they are separated into individual patches.

Next month, Microsoft moves to its new patching release model where all patches are bundled together and administrators will no longer be able to pick and choose which updates to install. Instead, Patch Tuesday will become Cumulative Update Tuesday followed by Bluescreen Wednesday and Rollback Thursday. I kid (somewhat).

Considering Microsoft has yet to deliver a perfect month in what seems like years now, we’ll be watching this last Patch Tuesday with interest. If you find problems in your testing let us know.

Here’s what you can expect to deliver today.
