OWA bug compromises item preservation for litigation and in-place holds

Microsoft has confirmed that a bug in Outlook Web App (OWA) can be exploited to compromise in-place or litigation holds. The bug means that a user can remove items from their mailbox without Exchange tracking that action and preserving copies of the items. All other clients work properly – the problem is only with OWA. However, it affects Exchange Online (Office 365) and all supported versions of Exchange 2013, including the recently released cumulative update 6 (CU6)....More
