Judging the 2010 Scripting Games

2010 Scripting Games I'm honored to have been selected as a judge for the 2010 Scripting Games. In case you're not familiar with it, this is an annual event produced by Microsoft's Scripting Guys in the online TechNet Scripting Center. Thee are different divisions based on your expertise, and each division essentially consists of a series of tasks or puzzles that you have to solve using scripts. They allow both PowerShell and VBScript, and it's honestly quite a lot of fun. It's also a good way to hone your scripting and automation skills!

In past years, I've been invited to be a guest commentator. I'll be doing that this year as well in one of the divisions' final events. s a commentator, I get a sneak peek at the task, and I get to write my own script to show how I would have tackled it. Judging is a much bigger responsibility because there are prizes involved!

It costs nothing to enter, so I hope you'll take a moment to hop over to Microsoft's Web site - click the badge here to go there now - and get involved with this fun community event. It all starts April 26, so you still have a few days to warm up your typing fingers.
