NOTE: You must be using the latest version of the Storport storage driver for the registry settings in this tip to be effective.

For your Windows Server 2003 that you start from a SAN (Storage Area Network) to have the startup disk, pagefile disks, and cluster disks on the same SAN fabric:

1. Open a CMD.EXE windows.

2. Type ManageDisksOnSystemBuses.bat and press Enter, where ManageDisksOnSystemBuses.bat contains:

<font size="1">@echo off
reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ClusSvc\Parameters\ManageDisksOnSystemBuses"
reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ClusSvc\Parameters" /V ManageDisksOnSystemBuses /T REG_DWORD /D 1 /F
</font>
