JSI Tip 8671. Windows Server 2003 hangs and records Event ID 2019 in the System event log?

If you install McAfee VirusScan Enterprise Version 8.0i on your Windows Server 2003, your computer occasionally becomes non-responsive.

The System event log records:

Event ID 2019
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Srv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 2019
Date: MM/DD/YYYY
Time: HH:MM:SS
User: N/A
Computer: <ComputerName>
Description: The server was unable to allocate from the system nonpaged pool because the pool was empty.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

This problem is the result of a leak in the system non-paged memory pool.

To fix the problem, see Patch 7 for McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.0i.
