JSI Tip 7172. If you use a 3rd-party RADIUS protocol on Windows 2000, and log on with cached credentials, you receive an 'Access denied' when you try to gain access to remote resources over a remote access connection?

To resolve the subject behavior:

1. Open the .pbk file that contains the entry that you dial, in Notepad.

2. Change the UseRasCredentials=1 entry to UseRasCredentials=0.

3. Save the .pbk file.

4. Exit Notepad.

NOTE: If you select the Log on using dial-up connection box in the Log on to Windows dialog, press OK, and select the correct network connection in the Network and Dial-up Connection dialog, you would not have experienced this problem.
