I can't get my Nokia 6150 to talk to Windows 2000.

A. A problem exists with the driver supplied for the 6150 that is does not correctly set all required keys for Windows 2000 so after you connect it hangs up straight away saying "No Reply".

A workaround is as follows:

  • Run the Add Modem wizard again this time letting it detect the unknown modem
  • Run again this time selecting the Nokia Data modem
  • It should now work

An updated Nokia Data Suite for Windows 2000 should be released late 2000.
