eXtremeRAID 1100

Mylex raises the bar for performance and features in the RAID controller market with its new ultra high-end eXtremeRAID 1100. Sporting a 64-bit PCI bus architecture (currently, only Digital Alpha-based systems offer 64-bit slots, but eXtremeRAID also works in 32-bit PCI slots), Ultra2 Low Voltage Differential (LVD) SCSI, and an onboard Digital StrongARM SA 110 233MHz processor, these controllers offer unprecedented performance for NT server disk subsystems. In addition to superlative performance and a robust feature set (supports RAID 0, 1, 3, 5, 10, 30, and 50), eXtremeRAID controllers also offer excellent remote management support and availability features, such as support for hot-plug PCI and NT clustering solutions.

Not to overshadow its sibling, Mylex's midrange DAC960 PJ also delivers superior features and performance at a competitive price. Although the DAC960 PJ uses a more traditional 66MHz Intel i960 processor than the eXtremeRAID's 233MHz monster, it still provides enough horsepower to satisfy all but the most demanding applications and environments. (Until eXtremeRAID's introduction, the DAC960 PJ held the record for RAID controller performance.) Mylex has always produced top-notch products, but these newest offerings place Mylex a notch above the competition in features, performance, and bang for the buck. If you're looking for the fastest and best-featured RAID solutions, Mylex has the goods.
