Fresh off its successful patent application for MP3 UIs, consumer electronics giant Creative says it will sue any company violating that patent unless the company agrees to licensing fees. The patent will eventually affect virtually every portable MP3 player on the market, but Creative is, of course, primarily targeting Apple, thanks to that company's utter dominance. To be fair, Creative was one of the first companies to ply the portable MP3 player market, and Apple's iPod interface is indeed highly derivative of the interface that Creative first used.
