Can I use Windows Media Player (WMP) to sync with my Microsoft Zune?

A. No, you have to use the Zune media application to synchronize with the Zune. WMP can’t see the Zune. However, the Zune application is based on WMP and will import media known to WMP, in addition to monitored playlists and folders, so the integration is quite tight. Hopefully, in a future release of WMP, the separate application won’t be required. One advantage of using the Zune PC application is that it automatically converts video to the right format for the Zune to play and has integration with the Microsoft marketplace (if you like to buy music that way)
