Thanks to Michael Frederiksmose for the tip: Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 2 is now available. This one weighs in at a hefty 15 Mb (at least the Intel x86 version). You can download the new service pack at: ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/winnt/winnt-public/fixes/usa/nt40/ussp2/ -- Instructions for Decompressing Files ------------------------------------ SP2_400I.EXE is a self-extracting archive file containing the U.S. Windows NT 4.00 Service Pack 2 for computers using the Intel processor. To extract the Service Pack, copy the file to a directory on your hard drive and issue the command: SP2_400I.EXE -d where is the destination directory for the Service Pack. If you wish to extract the service pack to the current directory, leave blank. After the Service Pack has been decompressed, run the UPDATE.EXE program to install the updated files. ** TO BE APPLIED TO VERSION 4.00 ONLY!! ** -- 1.0 Introduction ----------------- This release of Microsoft(R) Windows NT(TM) 4.0 Service Pack 2 is easy to apply from within Windows NT and changes only those files that were originally set up on the Windows NT Workstation or Windows NT Server system.
