Thanks to Steven Kreis for tipping me off that Microsoft Press is now selling a beta version of the Windows 98 Resource Kit. The Kit, which is now available from amazon.com for $56, includes a full working version of the Windows 98 Beta 3 software, a slew of administration tools for assessing the deployment, configuration, and support issues for Windows 98.

Once Windows 98 is finalized, Microsoft Press will release a new version of the Resource Kit titled "Microsoft Windows 98 Resource Kit : The Professional's Companion to Windows 98." This version, interestingly, will cost less than the beta, at $48 through amazon.com (on the other hand, the final version will not include the Windows 98 operating system).
