As reported yesterday, Microsoft has made available what is most likely the very last Technical Previews for System Center 2016 and Windows Server 2016 before they hit RTM (or, RTW – or whatever it’s called these days). According to comments from Jeremy Winter, the Partner Director Program Manager for System Center & Services, Windows Server 2016 is feature-complete.
More evidence of this comes today as Microsoft is also making the Group Policy settings available for download as Administrative Templates. This usually doesn’t happen until deeper into the development process. Group Policy tools use Administrative template files to populate policy settings in the user interface that can be used by administrators to centrally manage registry-based client settings.
Listed at version 1.0, administrators running Technical Preview 5, and those planning to support Windows Server 2016, should download the Administrative Templates to get a sense of the settings that can be managed.
