There are many tablet options now available for business, and those with tasked with rolling them out to business users still need to be able to deploy corporate standard images. Almost once a month Microsoft releases all-inclusive firmware and driver pack updates for Surface devices that can be used to deploy and refresh corporate images across the company. On the download page of each release, Microsoft offers a deployment guide, giving IT Pros a handy reference for building new computer images.
But, what about the other tablets?
One other popular tablet option that companies are choosing is the Dell Venue 11 Pro. I've seen a lot of communication recently where companies are deploying these devices and seeking help for doing so. As a second device, the Dell Venue 8 Pro is becoming popular, too, and many companies are deploying the smaller tablet.
After a bit of research, I've found that Dell does offer steps for creating images for deployment. Take note that there are a couple points to highlight about the imaging process. First, drivers and applications must be installed in a special order and secondly, the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool is required.
