Virtualization Connections brings together IT professionals, IT managers and directors, and business decision makers to explore ROI and deep-dive implementation of virtualized environments.

The conference will be held April 17 to 21, 2011, at the Bellagio in Las Vegas and will be collocated with Mobile Connections, which brings together the mobile development market to network and expand skill sets, and Cloud Connections, which explores cloud computing services and products.

Audience

  • IT Professionals (systems administrators, architects, network administrators)
  • IT Managers and Business Decision Makers
  • CTOs, CIOs, or CEOs

Topics

We are looking for sessions that help IT professionals master the technical skills they need to plan and implement virtualization and help IT managers and decision makers understand how virtualization can save money, improve business continuity, and conserve resources. The conference will cover solutions from VMware, Microsoft, Citrix, Parallels, and more.

We are looking for breakout sessions of 60 minutes in the following areas:

  • Server consolidation
  • Application virtualization
  • VDI
  • Planning for virtualization
  • Cost savings, ROI
  • Case Studies

  • Performance Tuning
  • Virtualizing SQL Server
  • Virtualizing Exchange
  • Virtualization management
  • Physical to virtual migrations
  • Backup
  • Storage
  • Business Continuity

Suggestions for additional topics are welcome. Because virtualization and cloud computing are so closely tied, presentations that include cloud computing considerations are a plus.

We are also interested in proposals for deep-dive pre-conference and post-conferences workshops (either half day or full day) on the following topics:

  • Implementing App-V
  • Technical face-off: Hyper-V vs. ESX
  • Optimizing VMware Virtualization Performance

We are also open to suggestions for additional workshops.
