Career Summary:

I have a  proven track record in leadership of software engineering groups, along with strong technology-thought leadership. With over 20 years of experience in software development and overall engineering management, I have successfully shipped several leading edge products within major organizations in the United States and Europe, including IBM. Security technology base is in server-side database technologies across all major enterprise database platforms, encryption optimization techniques and intrusion-detecting engines, with several granted patents, and pioneering the industry use of tamper-responding encryption hardware in conjunction with commercial databases to maintain the ultimate privacy and security of data. As Protegrity co-founder, I lectured about technology and research at international conferences. I have successfully signed up leading database and security vendors as resellers of Protegrity security technology, including IBM, Sybase, RSA, nCipher, and Siemens.  I have worked successfully with the MS SQL Server development group on-site at Microsoft in Redmond on modifying the MS SQL Server 2000 product and successfully integrating with the Protegrity encryption technology and shipping with the Microsoft Solution for Internet Business and MS Commerce Server.
