The key security change that Microsoft introduced in Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 is the Read-Only Domain Controller (RODC). Yet deploying RODCs at large scale requires a good amount of planning and has already caused a few surprises (at HP and other large companies ). Some of this is related to being able to manage the required password replication policies sufficiently well – and what happens if you don’t. But more of it is about application compatibility and understanding the impact of rollout RODCs in your remote sites.
This session will concentrate on the RODC deployment experience and only where required will delve into the details on how specific features of the RODC really work.
