What is the Windows Vista Resource Monitor?

A. In addition to the regular Windows Task Manager Performance tab, you can use the far more detailed Resource Monitor, which replaces Performance Monitor (perfmon.exe). You can launch Resource Monitor from Performance tab by clicking the Resource Monitor button, or you can use the Reliability and Performance Monitor Administrator Tool shortcut. The default view gives a graphical view of CPU, disk, network, and memory usage, with bars available for each item that can be selected for more detailed information. The information columns can be selected to sort by the data--for example, by highest number of Reads
