A last minute update on Friday, brings the PowerShell Deployment Toolkit (PDT) to version 2.6.2600.

PDT enables administrators the ability to deploy System Center 2012 SP1 and R2 using a set of PowerShell scripts. The scripts seek to provide an automated way of deploying each of the System Center suite applications and includes deployment capabilities for all the SQL prerequisites and post setup integration.

In addition to fixing some bugs, here’s what’s included in this latest update:

  • High availability for roles that require network load balancing
  • Shared VHDX creation
  • VM creation updates:
    • Generation 2 VMs
    • VLAN Tagging
    • MAC Spoofing
    • Autostop Settings
    • Guest Services

  • Ability to specify a product key for Windows Server
  • VMCreator for AD does not delete log files after Installer completes
