Unified Communications: Improved Anywhere Access and Operational Efficiency with Exchange Server 2007 SP1
Microsoft's marketing efforts around Exchange 2007 mean that you're probably familiar with the key features of Exchange 2007. However, there are some major improvements coming in Service Pack 1 that you may not know about. In this session, we'll talk about some key features in SP1 that make your life easier: IPv6 support, improved management tools for public folders, public folder access in OWA, and a host of improvements to make Exchange 2007 UM work better with Office Communications Server 2007.

Unified Communications: Architecture, Security and Compliance
This session introduces new architectural, security and compliance features in Exchange Server 2007 and Office Communications Server 2007, including improvements in the installation process and the existence of new server roles specific to Exchange Server 2007. The session also reviews Office Communications Server 2007 editions, server roles, and component dependencies. It will describe architectural changes to message routing and administrative group design for Exchange Server 2007, as well as the overall planning process for deploying Office Communications Server 2007, including what is entailed in planning a deployment path for Office Communications Server 2007, and Office Communications Server 2007 installation requirements. We'll introduce the CIA (confidentiality, integrity, and availability) framework and explain how the new security and availability features in Exchange Server 2007 improve message protection, data integrity, and availability. We'll also discuss the new continuous replication features, messaging records management, the improved message hygiene features, and policy controls for attachment and message blocking and filtering. Lastly, this session will discuss changes in Microsoft Active Directory and the steps required for preparing AD for Office Communications Server 2007 deployment.

Unified Communications: Unified Messaging and VOIP
Exchange 2007 and Office Communications Server 2007 work together to provide a full spectrum of communications tools. Exchange Server 2007's Unified Messaging server role allows you to unify voice, fax, and message data into a single inbox that users can access via the Web, through Outlook 2007, or on Windows Mobile or Macintosh clients. This session will describe the Unified Messaging server role, introduce the new Outlook Voice Access component, and explain how to integrate it into your existing telephony infrastructure. This session will also describe how to extend your communications environment with Office Communications Server 2007 and Office Communicator to take advantage of enhanced presence, call control, and Voice over IP capabilities alongside your messaging system.

Unified Communications: Voice - Network Planning and Deployment Scenarios
Microsoft's Enhanced VoIP is a software-based solution that provides streamlined communications, that enables users to initiate voice communications from the context of the application they are working in (such as Microsoft Outlook), as well as make and receive calls when traveling or away from the office by connecting to any network without a VPN. For IT departments, this provides the future-ready foundation for evolving communications needs. Office Communications Server 2007 also works with existing enterprise telephony systems (PBX) either natively over SIP, or via a media gateway and public switched telephone networks (PSTN). This session illustrates the new voice capabilities of Office Communications Server 2007, and provides deployment and planning considerations for Voice.

Unified Communications: Conferencing
Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 introduces a new capability for users both inside and outside your firewall: you can create and join real-time conferences hosted on your own servers. This new functionality allows you to host Microsoft Office Live Meeting-style services as an "on-premise," server-based solution, which enables your users to host meetings, presentations, training classes and similar gatherings using its own corporate network. This session will present the architecture of Office Communications Server and Live Meeting, provide details and recommendations on certificates, server roles and configurations, and deployment for the Live Meeting Console and Add-ins.

Unified Communications: Embedding Unified Communications into Line-of-Business Applications with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007
Microsoft's Unified Communications platform has powerful middle-tier APIs to enable your business processes and services to communicate and interact with users in a direct and personal way. When users and business processes communicate via the server side Unified Communications Platform, you can seamlessly unite the data and the communications worlds using Unified Communications technology like IM, VoIP telephony and video, conferencing, white-boarding, etc. This session shows you how you can utilize Microsoft's Unified Communications platform to enable your business processes to directly communicate and interact with your users. This session shows how business processes and services can use the new 2007 server-side Unified Communications Managed APIs, Communicator Web Access AJAX Service, and Office Communications Server Speech Workflow APIs.
