At the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2004, Creative Labs' Creative Zen Portable Media Center won the TechTV "Best of CES" award for the portable audio and video category. What's so great about this product that made it worthy of the "Best of CES" award? Let's take a quick look.
The Creative Zen Portable Media Center, which measures 5 and 11/16" x 3 and 3/8", lets you take recorded TV shows, home movies, music, photos, and video with you wherever you go, a clear bonus for media lovers. But Creative Labs, who designed this product with Windows users in mind, sought convenience for its customers in other ways—the company equipped its portable media center with Windows Mobile software, which means you download and access your content through a familiar Windows Media Center Edition interface, and you can use the device with any version of Windows XP. Also, the Creative Zen Portable Media Center lets you store as much as 20GB on the hard drive, giving you as much as 87 hours of video to watch on the device's 3.8" LCD screen. Creative Labs' Creative Zen will make Portable Media Center available in the second half of the 2004 calendar year.
