Don't deny it. Bathrooms are the best location to catch up on technical reading. We try to minimize it and not discuss it, but as busy as life is these daysthe company bathroom is one of the only quiet places where we can focus and get some "me" time. Microsoft understands this, too, which is why they host entire weeks of technical conferences like TechEd and MMS to help, but also, in part, why they've rolled out a special E-book gallery page on the TechNet Wiki.
It reminds me of Seinfeld: Season 9, Episode 17 where George Costanza takes a bookstore book into the bathroom with him and is forced to buy it because "it's been flagged." Hit me up in the comments if you know the episode I'm talking about. It's always great to hear from fellow Seinfeld fans.
The TechNet Wiki has always been a hit-or-miss proposition. There's some good material and content available, but you have to dig really deep sometimes to locate the special nuggets. In this case, Microsoft has done a stellar job consolidating links to downloads of freely available E-books on various Microsoft topics such as Office, SharePoint, SQL Server, System Center, Visual Studio, Web Development, Windows, Windows Azure, Windows Phone, Windows Server, and there's even one on careers.
The E-books are provided in EPUB, MOBI, and PDF formats so you can choose which format best fits your reading lifestyle and whichever reading device you own.
