This week, Microsoft revealed that it would finally start competing with Google and Yahoo! but that it would do so by bringing all its in-development MSN services into the Windows division and renaming them Windows Live. In other words, Microsoft is at it again: It will continue to leverage the dominance of its Windows OS to gain traction in other markets. But wait, there's more: Microsoft is also leveraging the dominance of its Office monopoly by creating a new set of services called--go figure--Office Live, which will be aimed at small businesses and will use Microsoft SharePoint technologies.
