When an application or process crashes in Windows 7, Windows 7 performs a check to see if there is an available solution to the problem. For example, if something goes wrong with your printer, Windows 7 will check to see if there is a solution, such as updated printer drivers.
After your installation has settled down and you’ve been using it for a while, you generally find that Windows doesn’t find any particular solution and that you have to quickly click Cancel on the dialog that informs you that Windows is checking for a solution so that the operating system will quickly restart whatever it was that crashed.
If you feel certain that you don’t want Windows to perform this check, you can disable it. The easiest way to do this is to type “Choose How To Report Problems” into the Start Textbox and then to click on that item.
Select Never Check For Solutions (Not Recommended)
Windows will now bypass the check and restart whatever errant process or application caused the failure.
