When you attempt to access a secure (HTTPS://) Web site using Internet Explorer 6, you are unable. You may receive one of the following messages:

The page cannot be displayed.

Cannot find server.

This behavior will occur using some versions of Norton Internet Security 2001, or Norton Personal Firewall 2001, if the CcApp.exe program is not running, or being blocked by your firewall.

To resolve this issue:

1. Use Windows Explorer, or My Computer to navigate to "%CommonProgramFiles%\Symantec Shared" and double-click the CcApp.exe program.

2. Try to open a secure Web site in Internet Explorer. If it opens, insure that a shortcut to "%CommonProgramFiles%\Symantec Shared\CcApp.exe" is created in the "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup" folder, and exit this procedure.

3. Verify the configuration of your third-party firewall or antivirus programs are configured to allow you to connect to security-enhanced Web sites.
