A. In Windows NT 4.0, you enable IP forwarding by checking "Enable IP Routing" in the Advanced TCP/IP configuration dialog box. However, to enable a multihomed Win2K box to act as an IP router, you must perform the following steps:
- Start regedit.exe.
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters.
- Double-click IPEnableRouter.
- Set the value to 1. Click OK.
- Close regedit.
- Reboot the machine.
