USMT Web Interface Lease refresh solution

How did your solution save your company money (cost savings, time savings, and/or increased productivity)?
I utilized the User State Migration Tool (USMT) by automating the process and integrating it with a Web interface. PCs are leasing and need to be replaced periodically. Clients can now click on a link in an email, then click a link on a Web page, and all of their data and settings are backed up to a network server. They then log on to another page on their new computer, click a link, and USMT restores all the data and settings to their new PC.

In what ways has your solution made innovative use of technology?
We have utilized the USMT tool from Microsoft, automated the process on the Web using Microsoft IIS, and used the scripting languages to completely automate the process.

How is your solution replicable in other business environments?
Because of the success of our automation, the process is now being used at 10 locations across the United States. The only change that we needed to be make is to point to different network servers.
