Overview of On-Premises SharePoint Architecture and Administration
This session is intended for IT professionals who are new to SharePoint. This session introduces the basic architecture of SharePoint 2013 while emphasizing elements that are new to the platform.
The session will discuss creating a new SharePoint Server 2013 farm and configuring it by adding service applications, Web applications, site collections and sites. Finally, you'll learn the basics of user administration.
SharePoint 2013 What's New for Developers
The goal of this session is to establish a foundation session that will cover fundamentals of what it takes to master the new development requirements for SharePoint Server 2013 and SharePoint Online. By the end of the session you should have a better understanding of what it takes to get started with SharePoint Development.
The session will start with an overview of the Fundamentals of SharePoint Development, it will then delve into Developer Tools, Programmability, and Routine Tasks that you will perform and where you should take your focus on to become a better developer. You will learn what what it takes to make up a SharePoint Site, the Architecture both On Premises and in the Cloud (SharePoint Online). We will look at Browser Based Development, SharePoint Designer, as well as Visual Studio.
We will tackle the various ways you can Program against SharePoint such as Services, Server Side Object Model, Client Side Object Model, REST/OData API endpoints and PowerShell. The session will wrap up with the varying Deployment Options available to you through Code Packaging and the Marketplace.
Overview of SharePoint Online Architecture and Administration
This session is intended for IT Professionals who are new to SharePoint Online. SharePoint Online is part of the larger Office 365 platform, which includes Exchange Online, Lync Online, Power BI, and Yammer.
This session introduces the basic architecture of SharePoint Online with special emphasis on administration and configuration tasks. You'll learn the basics of managing applications, sites, and users in the cloud while gaining a firm understanding of the overall SharePoint Online architecture.
Overview of the SharePoint 2013 App
This session will cover three main topics when it comes to the SharePoint 2013 App Model: Introduction to the app model, the entire anatomy of an app, and the architecture of an app. Fabian Williams will show you the full workloads of SharePoint using Apps, App Shapes such as Immersive, App Parts, and Custom Actions.
You will learn about App Isolation and also work with the API and Endpoints now provided. Fabian will discuss the nuances between the varied Hosting Models such as Provider Hosted, SharePoint Hosted and Auto Hosted and dispel some of the rumors you may have been hearing.
