Security Sites Become Targets of DDoS Attacks

Numerous sites that offer security information have come under sustained distributed denial of service attacks (DDoS) and some of the sites remain offline due to traffic overloads.

Sites such as fraudwatchers.org, scamfraudalert.com, scam.com, 419eater.com, spamnation.info, scamwarners.com, thecarpcstore.com, and castlecops.com have fallen victim. The DDoS attacks are being delivered via botnets and the apparent motive is retaliation.

Castlecops opened a DDoS forum to discuss the issue.
