Although the article states the DisablePST value only works with Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed, I deployed this option with Office 2003 & SP1 when it was first released.

It is entirely possible that the process might work with Office 2003 SP1. The information that I found while researching the article indicated that it would only work with SP2, and I had no way of testing the technique with a previous service pack. Service Pack 2 was the only version for which I was able to validate that the technique worked. -- Brien Posey
