Spyware Blocker. Sunbelt Software's CounterSpy Enterprise is tops with our readers and got the best marks of the five products reviewed in "Spyware Hunters," April 2005, InstantDoc ID 45605. Sunbelt hosts ThreatNet, a community of CounterSpy users who report potential new spyware threats. Confirmed new spyware signatures are added to CounterSpy's threat database. CounterSpy also gets new signatures from Microsoft because of an agreement Microsoft inherited when it purchased GIANT Company Software's Antispyware product. Speaking of which, Microsoft used GIANT's spyware blocker to enter the antispyware pool this year and has made a big splash—Microsoft Windows Antispyware takes the number 3 spot in this category.
