This past summer, Microsoft released two new versions of its Small Business Server (SBS) product: Windows SBS 2003 Standard Edition and Windows SBS 2003 Premium Edition. Targeting organizations that have fewer than 50 users, both editions of SBS 2003 include Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, Outlook 2003, Windows SharePoint Services, and a set of SBS-specific installation and management wizards. SBS 2003 Premium Edition also includes Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003, SQL Server 2000, and Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004. Here are my candidates for the top 10 features in SBS 2003.
10. Integrated setup—SBS 2003's setup process lets you easily install Windows 2003 as well as the different SBS components—you don't need to perform a separate installation for each product component. After you've installed the server and all the SBS components, the setup process generates a custom To Do list to guide you through product configuration. . . .
