Napster consumes a lot of bandwidth. But if you don't have system policies and systems management software to apply those policies, you can't control whether users install Napster on their workstations. Napster works through most firewalls, although some application-level proxy firewalls block Napster traffic.
If you're trying to rid your company's client systems of Napster, the KiXtart script that Listing 1 shows can help. This script uninstalls Napster and deletes all associated files, including songs downloaded through the application, every time users log on to the domain.
