The winning vulnerability scanner, Sunbelt Software's Sunbelt Network Security Inspector, uses a frequently updated database of more than 3000 vulnerabilities, including the most recent MITRE Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) list and the most recent SANS Top 20 list of vulnerabilities. Network Security Inspector has a GUI, and it can scan Windows, Linux, UNIX, and Mac OS X computers, HP printers, and Cisco Systems network devices. Network Security Inspector's reporting capabilities range from high-level, consolidated management reports to detailed reports used by network administrators.
