Bug Finders Experience XP SP2 Beta

Microsoft released Windows XP SP2 to public beta last week. Along with the beta the company established eleven newsgroups where users can discuss various aspects of the service pack. Topic areas include announcements, application compability, general questions, hardware, Internet Explorer, Install and Configure, Media Center, Networking, Outlook Express, Security, and Tablet PC.

You can view the newsgroups at Microsoft's Web site or by using a news reader application. For instructions on how to connect visit the XP SP2 technical preview Web site.


Limit Concurrent Sessions with Active Directory

ieXbeta reports that Microsoft is now accepting applications for beta testers of an upcoming Resource Kit tool, LimitLogon, which will limit the number of allowed concurrent sessions per user in an Active Directory domain. The tool requires Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6.0.


Mozilla 1.7 Beta Now Available

The Mozilla Organization released the Mozilla 1.7 public beta. The new version includes improved cookie controls, support for SMTP "MSN Authentication" in the mail client, performance improvements, and several other enhancements. Check it out.

I think that LimitLogon a tool is were system administrators waited at for a longtime. Until it's released users can unlimited logon and share there useraccount / password so others can logon also under the same credentials. In high secure envirnoments without smartcard logon you could set the limit to 1 session at a time. I hope they release it very soon cause I would love playing with it.
